Bundesliga Picks And Parlays May 24: Take The Overs

Bundesliga is back with Round 27 of play, and Matt has your best picks and parlays for Saturday’s action on May 24.

Bundesliga Picks and Parlays May 24

Borussia Monchengladbach (+146) vs. Bayer Leverkusen (+179)

Kicking off our Saturday May 24 Bundesliga action and picks, we are treated to a game between a pair of the best teams in the league. Gladbach and Leverkusen have slowed no rust in last week’s return to action with powerful offensive attacks, stout defense, and pinpoint passing.

Monchengladbach came away with a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in round 26 in their return to action. The nail in the coffin came a bit late, with Alassane Plea netting a goal with just 36 seconds left in the match. In 29 games, Plea has nine goals, eight assists, and will be the player of focus for Leverkusen’s defense. Along with Plea, Marcus Thurman and Brell Embolo will keep the backline more than busy with their aggressive and speedy offense.

It’s no wonder they have been one of the teams to beat this year.

On the other side of the field, Leverkusen has been on a tear since the calendar turned to 2020. They rank fifth in points and have not lost in their last six games, winning seven of their previous nine. Despite having to take off an extended period and train in less than prime conditions, the crushed Werder Bremen last week 4-1 and showed no signs of rust. Their young talent in Florian Wirtz and Moussa Diaby will keep opposing goalie Yann Sommer busy and, together with Kai Havertz, should contribute some points.

Both of these teams have shown the ability to put points on the board. They combined for seven goals last week, and I expect this game to be a high scoring affair. The total is set at 3.5 with the OVER currently at +105.

Best Bet | OVER 3.5 goals +105

Bayern Munich (-625) vs. Eintracht Frankfurt (+1150)

Bayern Munich hopes to extend its lead in the Bundesliga and have a pretty easy game to do it. Eintracht Frankfurt has been struggling and find themselves up against the alpha team in the league.

The reigning German champs returned to action last week with negative signs of taking such time off. They beat Union Berlin 2-0 on the road quite easily. The score is not indicative of just how dominant Bayern was on Match Day 26.

More importantly, they extended their lead over Borussia Dortmund to four points with their 15th win in 17 games.

Robert Lewandowski got the party gong in Berlin last week, earning his 26th goal in the Bundesliga. Amazingly, 14 of those goals have been netted in the previous 12 home games.

Frankly, Frankfurt has little to no chance of coming away with a straight-up win here.

This away team is in rough shape, to say the least, and look headed for a relegation battle. They put up little fight against Borussia Monchengladbach in round 26, dropping their fourth game on the trot.

Obviously, I would be crazy to suggest anything but a dominant win by Bayern Munich on Saturday. They have scored at least three goals in eight of their list twelve and netted 75 so far this term. Conversely, Frankfurt has allowed 13 total goes in their last four matches and has been shut out 4-0 in back to back away games.

I would also be a bit mad to suggest a bet on Munich at such unfriendly odds.

Therefore I would like to back Bayern Munich to go OVER 3.5 team goals at +125 to parlay along with an outright win (-625).

Best Bet | Bayern Munich to win (-625) & over 3.5 team goals (+125)

That’s it for our May 24 picks in the Bundesliga, see you soon….
