With another amazing NFL week coming to a close last Monday night, the New England Patriots got the victory against the Buffalo Bills. The latter were defeated against one of the most improved teams in the league this season. Coached by one of the most iconic figures on the sidelines in Bill Belichick, he proved once again that he knows how to plan a game for success. In the bigger spotlight, rookie QB Mac Jones shined for New England. Even though he didn’t have one of his best games passing the ball, it was more than enough for the Pats to get the win on the road.
The Taylor Heinicke Turning Point
The Washington Football Team has made one of the biggest turnarounds during this NFL season. QB Taylor Heinicke has 2,809 passing yards and ranks 12th in the league with 18 TDs. Heinicke has been able to lead this team, looking for its fifth win in a row when they face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Washington is trying to prove to the rest of the league that this win streak is not just a coincidence and that they’ve found the rhythm to get the wins they need to have a chance at a postseason that most did not expect them to reach. Washington’s offense has changed from a one-dimensional team to a more versatile style of play led by their star QB Taylor Heinicke, who has his eyes on the prize now that they have found the confidence they need to beat any opponent on the field.
Rodgers Injury Improving On The Go
Most of the Green Bay fans were very concerned about their main figure, QB Aaron Rodgers, who is dealing with a toe injury that has been causing issues. After being able to put behind him the controversy due to his Covid-19 infection, this injury started to affect Rodgers’ health. After confirming that it was not fractured, he decided to move forward and play with the injury as it is.
Now, after some time, it appears that the injured toe is making some improvement. It is healing as he continues to perform for the Packers, who are not the same team when Rodgers is not on the field leading the offense. Green Bay, after getting some extra rest, is all ready to come into Sunday night and face the Chicago Bears in the big spotlight on this game day. This will be one of the last games Rodgers could play with the team, as he has said that he might retire after this season.
GOAT MVP Aspirations
After another great performance by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are improving their chances for success in the postseason, the conversation for the next MVP award has also been mentioned on several occasions. The name Tom Brady is always in the top contenders for this award. Coming off his previous championship run, Brady is on a mission to repeat the feat one more time in the city of Tampa and defend their current title appropriately.
Achieving the ultimate goal will further cement his status as the best QB to ever play this game. As far as Brady’s motivations to move forward after being able to hoist the trophy six times wearing the Patriots uniform and now most recently with the Bucs, there is only one thing that needs to be clear when he is in the conversation.
Nobody should doubt his ability to overcome and achieve. This year he has still not faced the biggest of challenges and while others are also playing at a very high level, Brady is and remains to be one of the favorites for the MVP award.
