Today, another NFL week kicks off with a thrilling matchup between two of the most underachieving teams this season. In the NBA, we have some exciting matchups tipping off in the evening, with some of the league favorites playing tonight.
Pittsburgh Stress Test
Starting with questions about the current abilities and longevity of QB Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers season has been nothing but a cloud of doubts. However, while some of their performances have come up short in the majority of this season, they appear to be awakening some of the franchise’s heritage as they achieved a significant win recently against their rivals, the Ravens.
They will now have to face the Vikings, who are desperate to win at home as they are on a two-game losing streak, most recently losing to one of the bottom teams, the Detroit Lions. However, Big Ben has been fired up and will look to continue to shut down all criticism by beating Minnesota.
Pick: Steelers to win.
Sixers Looking To Pass The Jazz
Philadelphia has had some very inconsistent performances lately. While they are on a two-game winning streak, they will host one of the best teams in the regular season, the Utah Jazz, who are 16-7 and look to improve their record against the Sixers.
With SG Donovan Mitchell averaging 24.2 points per game, the Jazz continue to show that they are a team you can count on during the regular season so they’re our pick in this NBA game.
Pick: Jazz to win.
Lakers Show Coming to Memphis
After an imposing win against the Boston Celtics, the LA Lakers appear to be playing their best now that SF Lebron James is back with the team and leading them to wins after some disappointing losses suffered during his injury. The Lakers are currently in sixth place in the conference standings.
However, their performance so far has brought some questions about the player moves made in the off-season and how they will work out moving forward. The Grizzlies, on the other side, are having a great run even without their franchise player PG Ja Morant who has been placed in Covid-19 protocol.
Pick: Lakers to win.
Spurs Welcome Nuggets’ Challenge
With both teams coming off a loss, San Antonio will now meet Denver at home for a very competitive game that has a lot at stake. The Spurs will have the opportunity to improve their record, which has them sitting 12th in the conference standings.
Denver is right behind Utah in the Northwest Division. This game promises high emotions throughout the game once the ball gets tipped off.
Pick: San Antonio Spurs to win.
