The sports gambling space in the U.S. continues to swell with new partnerships almost on a daily basis. Across the country, professional sports leagues are teaming up with sportsbooks and gambling operators in new alliances, and even a number of individual teams are getting involved.
Within just a couple of years, if not by the end of next year, it’s likely that over 75% of all professional sports organizations will have some type of gambling partner, and popular sportsbook PointsBet has just added another to the growing list. It announced Thursday that it has officially signed up the Indianapolis Colts to be the NFL team’s sportsbook partner.
The Colts Rope In PointsBet
This new partnership between PointsBet and the Colts, one of many that have been seen by NFL teams already this year, will give the global sportsbook the ability to use Colts’ intellectual property and logos, as well as to create mutual sponsorship and marketing options to help it increase its brand visibility. Going forward, PointsBet will be seen as the presenting sponsor of the “Official Colts Podcast,” currently distributed across all of the team’s digital channels.
PointsBet CEO Johnny Aitken says of the new agreement, “PointsBet is thrilled to partner with the Colts, aligning with this great organization and its hugely passionate fanbase. PointsBet is the only sportsbook to have partnerships in place with both the Pacers and now the Colts, and we’re extremely proud of that. Indiana is a fantastic sports state and one that we’ve prioritized – we look forward to continuing to serve Indiana sports bettors this season, now alongside great partners in the Indianapolis Colts, on a personalized platform with unrivaled speed and ease of use.”
PointsBet’s Prominent Push
PointsBet will also start to appear on push notifications the Colts send to mobile apps that have requested to be kept informed of the team’s activity. The sportsbook will also have a pronounced presence on Colts’ social media channels and advertising, and will also be featured in the team’s Roundtable Live radio show, which is found on three local stations – 1070 The Fan, 107.5 FM and 93.5 FM.
In honor of the new partnership, PointsBet has launched a couple of promotions to show its gratitude to the team and its fans. It is putting up a “best price” deal for moneyline and spreadline pregame wagers made on Colts games, and is also bringing its “Crowd Booster” promo to the state. For every 200 bets made on the Indianapolis Crowd Booster, PointsBet moves the spread in bettors’ favor. It’s a great win for Colts fans.
