The weekend is finally here, and along with it, a ton of basketball. If you love betting on NCAA basketball, today’s your kind of day as i go through my picks for Feb 15. Cherish these moments, because we are only a month away from Selection Sunday.

Vik’s Picks Feb 15

West Virginia +6 at Baylor

I try to look for good situational spots and this game fits the bill. WV has lost two straight, and that is skewing the public’s mindset. The public is pounding No. 1 Baylor at home, at a 69% clip.

The sharps definitely took an early stand on this game, pushing the line down from -6 to -5.5 in some books. This indicated reverse line movement on the Mountaineers. I would shop around, as there are still some 6’s out there.

While WV has been inconsistent of late, they have the size and length to give Baylor fits. And, you know Bob Huggins will have them ready to play today in this big matchup. They also have the No. 2 ranked Adjusted Defensive Efficiency via Ken Pom and the No. 1 rated offensive rebounding % in the nation.

This one should go wire to wire, so I’ll glady grab the points.

LSU at Alabama -2.5

Here is a game that reeks of a fishy line. You have No. 25 ranked LSU at unranked Bama, yet the Crimson Tide are favored?

The public is pounding the Tigers, and understandably so. They see a ranked vs. unranked team and they looked at the score from the first time these teams met.

When it comes to the Joes vs. the Pros, it looks like the public is on LSU (65% rate), while the Sharps are are Bama.

Alabama has a strong offense and they are 8-3 at home. LSU has been great this season, but they’ve won a lot of close games that could’ve gone either way. I see some regression coming, especially on the road where they have been inconsistent. Only 4-3 away from home this season.

I would not be surprised if this game comes down to the last minute or so, but I see ‘Bama’s home court advantage being one of the big factors today for a late victory.

Auburn at Missouri +5

Here is another very fishy line and similar situation as the game mentioned above. No. 11 Auburn at Mizzou, so the public is naturally pounding Auburn at a 70% clip. But, the sharps took +5.5 on Missouri early. The line is now down to 5 or 4.5 even in some books, indicating reverse line movement on the Tigers.

Auburn is another team I am expecting some regression from today, after they’ve won a ton of games that could’ve gone either way this season. In fact, they’ve won four of its last five games in overtime!

Auburn is also missing star freshie Isaac Okoro, which will affect them on the road today in a tough atmosphere. Missouri is 9-3 at home this season. Home court is really a big factor when it comes to college kids more than the pros, and I think we will see just that on a Saturday like today.

I’m looking for a lot of dogs to bark and expect some big upsets, but in this one, I’ll grab the points to be safe.
