It’s been a ton of fun watching and betting on the NBA after the restart. It honestly feels like March Madness with NBA games all day. Today we have 6 games & 12 teams in action, so there will be plenty of betting options. After doing research, here are my two favorite NBA picks for today’s slate on August 4th:

Dallas Mavericks vs. Sacramento Kings

Mavericks -3 first half, Under 122

The Mavs have been starting games hot in the bubble. Against the Phoenix Suns, they were up 13 at the break and 10 against the Houston Rockets. They ended up fizzling out towards the end and lost both of those games. Unfortunately for them, this isn’t just a bubble problem, it has been something hurting them all season long. Couple all of that plus the fact that the Kings have started slugging out of the gate in both of their games so far as well, and I like Dallas in the first half.

When it comes to the under, Dallas is missing their sharpshooter Seth Curry. Even with him in the lineup, they have not been shooting well from 3-point land. Against the Suns in their last game, they hit just 19.4% of their 3-pointers, including just 20% from the corner. Those numbers should go up against this not so great Kings defense, but missing Curry definitely hurts overall. The public is expecting both of these teams to score a ton, but some sharp money is on the under.

I’m taking the first half under as our pick for August 4th, because of late fouls and garbage points. Fouling and free throws have been up in the bubble, so I don’t want a late sweat. Look for Dallas to come out of the gates hot. Lay the points and root for bricks from both teams early.
