2 Games Called Off, But NBA Friday Still Looks Hot

2 Games Called Off, But NBA Friday Still Looks Hot

There were a full on 11 NBA games scheduled for this Friday evening until two had to be postponed, once again, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  It could also be, in part, to the freezing cold weather in Texas.

Warriors Set To Meet The Magic

Kicking off tonight’s action, we have the 16-13 Golden State Warriors traveling down to Florida to take on the 11-18 Orlando Magic at the Amway Center as 4.5-point road favorites with the Over/Under now at 224.5.  Oddsmakers have the moneylines at Golden State -177 & Orlando +145.   Stephen Curry continues his dominate season for the Warriors, averaging over 30 points per game.

The 15-13 Denver Nuggets have now lost two in a row and are having their troubles on the road.  Tonight, they will be in Cleveland to take on the 10-19 Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse as 8 point road favorites.   Newly-named NBA All-Star Nikola Jokic still leads all Denver scorers, averaging 27.4 points per game.  The moneylines tonight are Denver -345 & Cleveland+275, with the Over/Under at 221.5 for the game.

The 12-16 Atlanta Hawks snapped a seven game losing streak against the Boston Celtics this Wednesday by virtue of a fourth quarter rally that ended up as a 122-114 win for the Hawks.  Tonight, Atlanta will be in Boston at the TD Garden trying to make it two in a row against the 14-14 Celtics as 3.5-point road dogs.  Oddsmakers have the moneylines at Boston -159 & Atlanta +133 with the Over/Under at 227.5.

76ers, Bucks Heavy Favorites Tonight

The 12-15 Chicago Bulls will have their work cut out for them when they travel to Philadelphia to do battle with Joel Embiid and the 19-10 76ers.  Even with a hurting back, Embiid continues to dominate the floor wherever he plays. Philadelphia will be 8-point home court favorites with the Over/Under at 230.5 for the contest.  Moneylines for tonight’s showdown are at Philadelphia -375 & Chicago +295.

The 16-13 Milwaukee Bucks have somehow managed to lose five games in a row now and tonight they must get past a struggling 11-17 Oklahoma City Thunder squad, which continues to tumble in the standings.  The Bucks are 10.5-point home court favorites with the Over/Under at 231.  If you would like to bet the favorite Milwaukee team to win tonight and win $100, you will have to put at risk a whopping $670 as the moneylines are at Milwaukee -670 & OKC +480.

Suns To Outlast The Pels

The 12-16 New Orleans Pelicans, who continue to be inconsistent on defense, will host the 17-10 Phoenix Suns as 3.5-point home court underdogs.  The Over/Under is at 232 for the game and moneylines are at Phoenix -157 & New Orleans +132.

The 8-20 Detroit Pistons will be in Memphis tonight at the FedEx Forum to take on the 12-12 Grizzlies, who have now managed to claw their way back up to .500.  The Over/Under is at 221 with the Grizzlies being 5-point home court favorites.  Oddsmakers have the moneylines for the game at Memphis -195 & Detroit +160.

Timberwolves Look For Repeat Win

The hapless 7-22 Minnesota Timberwolves managed to jump up and beat the 14-15 Toronto Raptors the last time out.  Now they get to try it again on their home court in Minneapolis at the Target Center.  They come in as 3.5-point home court underdogs with the Over/Under set at 227.5.  Money line wagering is at Toronto -155 & Minnesota +130.

And finally, the league leading Utah Jazz, now at 24-5, will be visiting the Staples Center down in Los Angeles to take on the 21-9 Clippers as 4-point road favorites.  The Over/Under is set at 224.5 and the money line wagering for the game is at Utah -165 & LA +138.

The Nuggets at the Hornets and the Mavericks at the Rockets are both postponed for a later date.
