Tick tock, tick tock. The clock is ticking as we are literally a day away from MLB’s 2020 Opening Day! That also means the time to get your baseball futures betting done is also dwindling. As always, we have you covered though. I did some homework and research for you, so here are three of my favorite MLB 2020 team futures to bet on.

Boston Red Sox under 32 games

This is not amazing insight, but the New York Yankees are loaded this season. They should run away with the division. On the flip side, I see a big-time down year coming for the Red Sox. Since the front office regime change, Boston is cutting costs at the expense of their on-field production, case in point, the departures of staples like Mookie Betts and David Price.

Chris Sale struggled through much of 2019 before being shut down with an elbow injury.  Because of this shortened offseason and lack of reps, I don’t see him coming back like the old Sale. Couple that with the fact that Boston’s rotation has very little depth, and they are in trouble.

Red Sox fans might crucify me, but this is a rebuilding season in 2020, so give me the under in this MLB team futures market.

Chicago White Sox over 31 wins

The White Sox offense is stacked. I love the addition of Luis Roberts and Eloy Jimenez should be even better this season. They lacked power last season, but brought in slugger Edwin Encarnacion and catcher Yasmani Grandal, who combined for 62 homers last season.

Their rotation also got better, as they signed both Dallas Keuchel and Gio Gonzalez. Although Michael Kopech won’t play in 2020, they play in a weak AL Central Division, so the rotation should be able to hold its own. A big boost should be coming in Carlos Rodon. Hopefully he benefited from the delayed start to the season and could help the White Sox pitching flourish over a shorter stretch of games.

If you are feeling frisky, you can get them at around +1500 to make the World Series. As I said earlier, their division is weak. More than that, anything can happen in this crazy, shortened season, especially if the Yankees get hit with the injury bug. This might be worth a sprinkle.

Cincinnati Reds over 31.5 wins

I see the Brewers regressing this season, opening up the division for both the Cubs and the Reds. Cincy is young, stacked and ready to make the leap. I like the Reds soft schedule and their offseason moves, especially the signings of Pedro Strop and Nick Castellanos. Both should provide immediate impact.

A lot of models are projecting them to do well this year. Last season they stumbled out of the gate and fell behind the pack. If they can come out playing some good baseball, they’ll have a chance to win the division.
