There are seven NBA games on tap for today and they are all going to be hot. The LA Lakers are actually underdogs against the Miami Heat, while the Dallas Mavericks are slight favorites against the Milwaukee Bucks. For sports gamblers, it’s time to add an extra dose of energy to the choices, as this NBA season is already proving to be more than unexpected.

Bulls Set To Face The Raptors

The Chicago Bulls are away to face the Toronto Raptors in Florida today and the two teams currently sit in tenth and eleventh in the Eastern Conference. The last time they met, the Bulls took a 118-95 win and comes into tonight’s game following back-to-back victories against the Brooklyn Nets and the Indiana Pacers. The Raptors just lost to the Lakers on Tuesday, but had previously taken two straight wins in what has been an otherwise lackluster season.

Unibet oddsmakers expect the Bulls to win tonight and give them -162, while the Raptors are looking at +135. With Nikola Vucevic averaging 22.7 points per game, this seems to be an easy call. The Over/Under of 216.5 is high and taking the Under at -109 is the better option.

The LA Clippers host the Phoenix Suns tonight and are coming off two straight wins, both against strong opponents. The Suns just took down the Utah Jazz yesterday and are feeling good about the victory. The Clippers may have had some problems on offense lately, but they’ll be ready to regroup tonight.

The Clippers are getting -230 to the +188 of the Suns. Phoenix is ranked second and could be a good place to park a few units. Given the track record of consistently winning on the Over, taking the Over (-112) on an Over/Under of 222.5 is a smart bet.

Lakers Still Figuring Things Out

The Lakers continue to have difficulty this season, especially when they have to play without Anthony Brown and LeBron James. They’ve been able to pull off some much-needed wins, despite the absences, and will look for another when they face the Heat tonight. However, the Lakers are going to have a difficult time finding their rhythm.

The Heat are getting -245 against the +275 of the Lakers and are ready to win. However, the Lakers can cover the 8-point (-110) spread, which offers more value. The Over/Under of 203.4, looking at the way the Lakers have been performing, is likely a little too much and an Over bet at -109 is the way to go.

The Jazz meet the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at home and want to find revenge from their loss to the Suns. The Trail Blazers have run into a little trouble, as well, falling to the Clippers on Tuesday. The loss the Jazz suffered was the second straight and they have yet to lose three in a row this season.

Utah isn’t likely to lose this one and is getting -230 against the Blazers’ +188. The team has gone 17-4 against the spread in the last 21 games and are getting seven points (-110) tonight, which makes a good spot for a few units. The Over/Under stands at 232.5, which seems really high based on the track record of both teams and taking the Under (-109) is a good choice.

Bucks Finish Road Trip With The Mavs

The Bucks are completing a six-game road trip tonight with a game against the Dallas Mavericks. They just lost, by one point, to the Golden State Warriors and this trip has them at 3-2.  The Mavs just took an unexpected loss against the Houston Rockets, the worst team in the league, and could use a win.

That win isn’t likely to happen, though, even though the Bucks are without Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Mavs have several injuries they’re dealing with and, even though Kristaps Porzingis is probable for the game, he’s not at 100%. The Bucks are slight underdogs at -104 (the Mavs are getting -115) and should take it. However, a one-point spread is enough for Dallas to be able to easily cover for a few units. The Over/Under of 227 is high and taking the Under at -109 is a good option.

There are two other games tonight and neither holds any surprises. The Oklahoma City Thunder (+148) are underdogs against the Cleveland Cavaliers (-177), in part, because of several injuries. The Sacramento Kings (-305) are heavily favored against the Detroit Pistons (+245), who have lost ten straight.
