MLB Has Several Interesting Games On Tap Today

Today’s lineup of MLB games is already underway, with two games already underway. The Atlanta Braves are facing the Washington Nationals and the Pittsburgh Pirates are on the field against the Cincinnati Reds, but there’s still a lot of action left.  There’s also plenty of other games throughout the day to keep baseball fans and sports gamblers everywhere busy.

Tigers And Twins Wrap Up Series

The Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins will determine which is the better team today as they face off in the third and last game of their series. They have already taken one game apiece and their games have been anything but boring. Today, the Twins are favored by Unibet oddsmakers, getting -159 and 1.5 runs. The first game between these two easily cracked the Over/Under as it hit 21 runs, but yesterday’s game was a lot tamer. The Over/Under of 8 runs today goes to the Under at -105.

The Milwaukee Brewers are 2-3 so far, while the Chicago Cubs are 3-2. That didn’t keep the Brewers from already showing they can handle the Cubs, shutting them out yesterday. The two meet again today and the Cubs aren’t likely to settle for another loss. The Brewers are favored at -117, but the +100 Cubs deserve some interest. Taking the Under of 9 runs (-114) is a better option.

The Oakland A’s are desperate for a win. They’ve been shut out so far this season and have to go up against the World Series champs from last year today. The LA Dodgers have only dropped one of their six games so far and won’t lose this one. The A’s are looking at their worst starting record in franchise history and the -180 Dodgers is a lock today. The Over/Under sits at 8.5 runs, but taking the Under at -115 makes sense.

A Swing And A Miss For The Mets

The New York Mets got off to a late start this season and have only played two games. They split them and will face the Philadelphia Phillies today as they look for another win. It’s a real possibility, too, especially since the Mets just beat them yesterday 8-4. The Mets are getting +132 (the Phillies are at -155) and could prevail as the underdogs. If they come out strong like yesterday, taking the Over (-110) on an Over/Under of 8 is going to pay off.

The Baltimore Orioles must hate visiting New York if it means they have to face the Yankees. That’s because they’ve lost 12 straight games against the pinstripes, including another one yesterday. The two will meet again today – in New York – and it’s not looking good for the O’s. The Yankees are getting -220 and 1.5 runs, with virtually no one expecting Baltimore to pull off an upset. The Over/Under is high at 9, but the Yankees have been putting up the runs this season. Taking the Over at -120 makes sense.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies take to the field today, with neither team getting off to a great start this season. The D’Backs are 2-3 and the Rockies are 1-4, but that one win came against the Dodgers on Opening Day. This is a game that oddsmakers can’t call, giving Colorado -109 and Arizona -107. Colorado’s skid, though, makes Arizona a better choice. The Over/Under sits at a massive 11.5, but the game could easily pass it. Taking the Over at +102 might actually pay off, especially since it has hit in three of the five games played at Coors Field this season.

Padres Shuffle After Tatis Injury

The San Diego Padres will play the San Francisco Giants today without the help of Fernando Tatis, Jr. He is suffering from a shoulder injury and his absence is likely to be felt. However, the Giants have never been too much trouble for the Padres, who went 8-2 against them last season. They’ll add to that today and the -157 line doesn’t offer a lot of benefit. Taking the Over (-106) on an Over/Under of 7.5 will pay off.

The Boston Red Sox just picked up a win against the Tampa Bay Rays and will look to do it again today. It took the team 12 innings to get the job done, but they still pulled it off. This is the last game of a three-game series that has been all Boston, and taking the Red Sox at -117 doesn’t give too much return. The Over/Under is at 8.5 and, based on the scores that have been put up so far, the Over at -122 is going to hit.
