Vik is back with his breakdown of the most-anticipated matchup of the young NFL season, and perhaps a preview of the AFC Championship Game, between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. It’s Patrick Mahomes vs. Lamar Jackson at quarterback. It’s Travis Kelce vs. Mark Andrews at tight end. It’s rookie running backs JK Dobbins vs. Clyde Edwards-Helaire. It’s a game the Ravens are favored by 3 on the road with a 55 total. Let’s dig into Vik’s picks:
Vik is going against the grain by taking the favored Ravens, giving the points. He sees a bit of Super Bowl hangover on the Kansas City side, plus a bit of turnover on the roster which has them playing a bit below the standard they set last season. On defense, they’re ranked 23rd in DVOA, and pass defense is 27th. That sets up perfectly for Jackson to do his thing and allow Baltimore to dominate on both sides.
Vik likes Marquise Brown to have a breakout performance, making him a solid stack with Jackson in DFS showdown slates. Vik sees Baltimore taking control in the fourth and covering, and he likes the under, as well. High scoring? Vik isn’t seeing it.
So it’s Ravens -3 and the under. Shop around for the best lines and totals and good luck tonight!
