Daily Picks Nov 27: Pacers, Pistons To Feast

The last time the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers got together on the same court was a year ago.  The Pacers easily cruised to the win, beating the Jazz 121-88.  This year’s Jazz isn’t the same team, though, and tonight’s game between the two won’t be as easy as we look at our picks for Nov 27.  Anything’s possible, especially since the two squads are almost dead even in their overall totals, with the Pacers maintaining a mere two-game lead, 45-43.

Sports Intel Daily Picks Nov 27

The Jazz are 11-6 this season and, even though they’re coming off a loss, are keeping oddsmakers on their toes.  Their 122-118 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks should have gone differently, but everyone has an off night, even Mike Conley.  Across 28 minutes of court action, he only earned six points.  Conley is looking to prove that it was a one-off and that he still has his juice tonight.

The Pacers, 10-6, are up there, as well.  They just sent the Memphis Grizzlies packing on Monday with a 126-114 victory and are going to be to home again tonight.  All-Star guard Malcolm Brogdon is back and if there were any doubts that he’s at 100%, those concerns were erased Monday.  He scored 14 points and had eight assists and six rebounds.  He’s going to give the Jazz a hard time tonight, which is partly why the Pacers are going to walk away with the win.

In a lot of ball games, teams who aren’t performing well can often put on the best shows.  That’s likely to be the case tonight when the Charlotte Hornets host the Detroit Pistons in the second of our picks for Nov 27.  The former is 6-12 going up against a 6-11 team, and neither is proud of the season it has had so far.

Tonight’s contest will see a lot of positive clock management and careful shots.  It will also see the Hornets keeping a close eye on Pistons center Andre Drummond.  According to talk that has circulated around the NBA today, the Pistons might be ready to give up on Drummond and the Hornets are said to be seriously considering pulling him into the nest.

The Hornets have lost their last five games, thanks mostly to a defense that hasn’t synchronized.  It’s time for changes and any player who wants to remain on the front line is going to have to prove himself tonight or be ready to ride the bench.  Coach James Borrego is ready to make some changes unless he sees massive improvements in performance.

Charlotte may have won ten of the 15 games between these two, but the Pistons are going to force another entry into the losing column.  Detroit is slightly stronger on offense than is Carolina and will show it tonight.  It’s going to be a close game, but the Pistons come out on top.

The 7-9 Sacramento Kings are almost certainly praying that Joel Embiid has a performance like he did when the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Toronto Raptors a couple of nights ago.  For the first time in his career, he didn’t put a single point on the board.  It wasn’t that he lost his mojo; it’s that teams have wisened up and begun to put more pressure on him, as well.

That will be the case tonight, with Richaun Holmes and Dewayne Dedmon looking to keep Embiid moving on the outer edges of the perimeter.  Both are former Sixers, and have a little insight into how the team works.

When the Kings took on the Boston Celtics on Monday, Buddy Hield scored 41 points, including 11 treys.  Despite his performance, it wasn’t enough for the team to secure the win and this is most likely what will be seen tonight, as well.  The Sixers are 7-0 at home this year and, with Holmes and Bogdan Bogdanovic leading the way, are ready to make that 8-0.

That’s it for our NFL picks and parlays for Nov 27, good luck with your bets, and see you soon!
