Happy Monday! Today’s betting slate includes a huge college hoops card and a nine-game NBA betting slate, so here’s my picks for Feb 10.

Let’s start with college basketball first, as there is one game that particularly caught my eye right off the bat. Warning, this pick is not for the faint of heart.

Vik’s Picks Feb 10

Baylor at Texas +6

This game is set up to be the perfect trap game. We have a nationally televised game featuring the No. 1 team in the nation against an inconsistent Texas team. You know the casual bettor is going to be all over Baylor. In fact, the Bears are seeing over 80% of the public action. But, instead of the line going up, it was gone down to 6 in most books, indicating reverse line movement on Texas.

While the Longhorns have been inconsistent, they have been solid at home, posting a 9-4 record there. Texas also has the 49th ranked Adjusted Defensive Efficiency via Ken Pom.

Texas is desperate and with it being a TV game tonight, you know the crowd will be rocking. I’m taking the points, as I would not be surprised if this one came down to the buzzer.

Now, onto the NBA…

Charlotte-Detroit under 207

I like this under for a couple of reasons. First, there is reverse line movement on the under. Despite 75% of bettors taking the over, this line has come down from an opening line of 209.5 and is continuing to plummet. That is because over 70% of the money has come in on the under, i.e. the Sharps have made their stand.

Next, both of these teams play at an incredibly slow rate. Detroit also plays much faster when Derrick Rose is in the game, but he is currently slated as doubtful and has sat out the last four games. How valuable is Rose to Detroit? Three out of those last four games he did not play went under the number.

Because of the sharps getting involved, I wouldn’t be surprised if this number continues to drop throughout the day, so make sure you shop around. The lowest I would probably recommend is 206.

Over Nemanja Bjelica’s 6.5-rebound prop.

Every day I like to scour the prop card to see if there is a situation that sticks out. We have just that tonight in the Kings-Bucks game. While I like the Kings +11 or higher, I’m scared to go against the Bucks in this spot. For that reason, I like Bjelica’s rebound prop bet instead.

Sacramento is dealing with injuries at the PF and C positions, and their depth is low at those spots. Because of that, get ready to see a lot of Harry Giles and Bjelica tonight.

Bjelica currently averages 6.3 RPG and is going to get extensive minutes at the bigs spots tonight, so I am going to ride this spot tonight to cash in.

That concludes my picks and parlays for Feb 10, swing by tomorrow for more from Vik’s Picks!
