There’s one NBA game on tap for tonight that should definitely have sports gamblers intrigued.  A total of seven games offer a lot of betting opportunities with plenty of action to come, but one contest has oddsmakers stumped.  Get ready for what could ultimately be a great night for hoops.

Jazz Head To Boston

The Utah Jazz and the Boston Celtics met last month, with Utah coming away with an easy win.  These two team will face off once again tonight and, even the Jazz are still dominating the league, they have had a few issues lately.  They have lost five of their last ten games, including an embarrassing upset at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.  The Celtics have won five of their last six and cannot be dismissed easily in tonight’s game.

Utah is getting -182 by Unibet, an advantage over the +155 given to the Celtics.  A 4.5-point spread (-112) and an Over/Under of 228.5 (-113) offer a great opportunity for sports gamblers to show their abilities, and this game could go to the underdog.  There shouldn’t be a problem reaching 229 points, but don’t be surprised if the Celtics find some hidden strength and secure the win.

Heat Not Worried About Cavs

The Miami Heat have won 18 straight games against the Cleveland Cavaliers when playing at home. Tonight could see that record extended.  The Cavs are down in Miami in a game that is completely lopsided from every angle.

Oddsmakers give the Heat -530 to the +390 seen by the Cavaliers and there’s no reason to think an upset is coming.  Miami has a 10-point advantage (at -110), but the game could be closer than that.  This game doesn’t deserve much attention, except for its entertainment value.

The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to take their sixth straight win tonight when they face the New York Knicks.  On the other hand, the Knicks are looking to rebound after taking a loss against the Brooklyn Nets last night.  The Sixers have both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid ready to play after being subjected to COVID-19 protocols, and they will both be making up for lost time.

Philadelphia is getting -278, while the Knicks are at +225.  The 6.5-point spread (-110) for the Sixers shouldn’t be a problem for the overpowering team, and the 216 Over/Under seems low for this game.  If the final score doesn’t reach over 220, something is wrong.

Lakers Lose Another Player

The LA Lakers are having a hard time defending their title win from last year.  They have had to deal with a number of injuries this season and will have one more player out when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.  Alex Caruso is down due to a concussion.  However, the Timberwolves have four players that are out because of injury.

The Lakers are the odds-on favorites to win, getting -420 and 9 points (-110) and there’s little doubt that they’ll take the win and beat the spread.  The Over/Under of 225 (-113) could actually be a little high for this game.  Minnesota can’t put up the points and the Lakers aren’t at 100%.

Tonight will see a coin-toss game.  The Portland Trail Blazers and the New Orleans Pelicans meet up in a contest that has oddsmakers unable to choose a clear winner.  The Pels are going to count on Zion Williamson to get things done, banking on his recent hot streak to lead the team.  The Blazers, however, are going to have CJ McCollum back on the court after suffering a broken foot in January.  This is going to be a game to watch.

Both teams are at -110 on Unibet.  The spread is leaning slightly toward the Blazers at just 1.5 points, which is a good indication that this is expected to be a hard-fought battle.  The Over/Under is at 238.5, but the final score is likely to fall just short.  The Blazers are sixth in the Western, several spots better than the 11th-ranked Pels, and anything is possible tonight.
