The Denver Nuggets are one step away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time. The closest Denver had come to the finals was the Western Conference Final in 2020. Now, they’re one step away from leaving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on the road.

The Lakers had shown an impressive resurgence after a bad start to the season, injuries, and the arduous road to get to this point. But everything indicates that James and company ran out of fuel for this final.

For their part, the Nuggets have received what is expected from Nikola Jokic, who has led his squad to a 3-0 lead. The Nuggets are looking to sweep the Lakers, making clear their supremacy in the Western Conference. In particular, Denver’s attitude is to eliminate any hope James and the Lakers may have of a historic comeback.

For Denver, finishing the series in four games will be crucial to securing a few extra days of rest. Considering the length of the NBA postseason, any rest time is valuable ahead of a series against the Boston Celtics, or the Heat’s surprise team.

The Nuggets and Lakers play Game 4 tonight. With so much riding on a win, the Lakers are going to find their mojo to keep the series alive.

Heat One Step Away From The Final

According to the Heat, the draw is one step away from reaching the finals after winning 128-102 in the third game against Boston. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics don’t seem to have any answers for Miami’s seemingly unstoppable team.

Miami had no problem dispatching the New York Knicks in five games. But, there were times when Miami seemed vulnerable. In this series, the Celtics have not been able to generate enough offense, or stop the Heat’s attack, so that they could compete.

The Heat have three titles in its history, the two most recent in 2012 and 2013 by LeBron James, precisely. In this era, they don’t depend on a megastar like James. On the contrary, their teamwork has characterized the significant effort that this group has made.

On the other hand, Boston faces the same situation as the Lakers. A comeback seems highly unlikely at this point. Teams that have faced a 3-to-0 deficit are 0-149 in NBA playoff history.

Perhaps Boston can make a miraculous comeback. After all, anything is possible in the world of sports. However, the likelihood is that the series will end sooner rather than later.

The Heat will look to close out the deal in game four. If they do, both Miami and Denver will have a few days between the Conference Final and the start of the final series to rest and refine strategies.
