Thursday night has four NBA games on tap, with the countdown to the postseason growing louder. Schedules are getting tougher for some teams, and every win counts going forward.  

Dallas Plays Host To Philly

The Dallas Mavericks receive the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. The Mavs are seventh in the West, but close to many teams, in a wild conference. They come into the game with two consecutive losses and without finding a way to maximize the combination formed by Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.

The Mavericks but very close to the LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. All these teams, along with the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and LA Lakers, are only four victories apart. The Mavs arrive with a 32-31 mark and 20-12 at home, seeing Doncic as the NBA’s leading scorer with 33.2 points per game.

The Sixers, behind the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics in the East, arrive in Texas with 40-21 and 16-11 on the road. They have to get used to it, as they have a season ending with many games away from Philly.

This is the first duel between both teams, with the second scheduled for March 30. Last season, they tied at one each, but, in head-to-head matches over the past four years, the Sixers have dominated 4-2.

Philly does not have a good schedule in this final stretch of the season. Reaching 75% of the regular season, they have 15 games on the road, starting with yesterday’s victory against the Miami Heat and now heading to Texas. They need the victory in order to stay in front of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are right on their heels.

In a battle for the ball, the Sixers pull out in front to take the game.

The Warriors Face The Clippers

One of the most exciting games of the day will be between the Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. This meeting will take place at Chase Center in San Francisco, and will be a game that can help the Clippers get back on track since they are not having a good run.

Despite the fact that the Warriors have not had an impeccable season, they have been able to climb some positions in the Western. Their good performances at home have served them well, giving them eight victories in their last nine games. On the other hand, the Clippers do not arrive at their best moment, accumulating three losses in their last five games.

It will be a match with a lot of offense on both sides; however, the depth of the Clippers can make a difference in the game. In addition, thanks to the defensive problems that the Warriors have had this season, they can enhance their performance through Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and even newcomer Russell Westbrook.

The Warriors just took down the Portland Trail Blazers 123-105 playing at home. On the other hand, the Clippers got a surprise loss against the Timberwolves playing at home 108-101.

The last time these two met was on February 14, and it yielded a final score of 134-124 in favor of the Clippers. In this California matchup, they’re on track for another win.
